Senior Boarding Assistant (level 2)

Welcome to the community of Abbotsleigh. Abbotsleigh is a pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 Anglican day and Boarding school for girls located on the upper north shore in Wahroonga. Our curriculum is broad and encourages all areas of creativity and innovation, from our earliest learners to our Senior Girls. Abbotsleigh is a leading independent girls’ school where staff possess the highest professional skills and actively support our Christian ethos.

We operate 4 separate boarding houses, for girls Years 7 – 12 from metropolitan Sydney, regional NSW, interstate, and international locations.  We offer full and weekly boarding options to our families.  Like our School, our boarding houses are vibrant and welcoming places for our girls to grow and develop into amazing young women of great character.

The Role

Senior Boarding Assistants lead a small team of staff in the absence of the Boarding Coordinator on their shifts, which predominately fall on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and may also include weekday shifts. Some shifts require overnight stays in the boarding house with accommodation provided. Applicants will work an average of 20 hours a week.  No School holiday work is required but you will be paid over the school holiday break.

The successful candidates will be outstanding individuals who are highly motivated to supervise the physical, emotional, and spiritual development of the girls under their care, providing a link between the Boarding School and the Day School. They will be supporting the boarding team to inspire, engage, and value every girl and ensure they have a positive experience living away from home.
