Primary Role
AbbSchool is seeking an experienced and passionate Ceramics Tutor to join our outstanding co-curricular team based in Wahroonga, NSW.
This part-time position, commencing 6th February 2024, will involve working 5 days per week, 10 hours per week (2 hours per day) during term-time. The ceramics tutor will be responsible for teaching Primary (Years 3-6) and Senior students (Years 7-12) from 3.30-5.30pm each day.
Essential Requirements
• Art qualifications to a minimum Diploma level.
• Working with Child Check.
• Experience in teaching ceramics to primary and/or senior-aged students.
• Knowledge of loading, unloading, and operation of a kiln.
• Ability to plan flexible lessons that are responsive to students’ interests and passions.
• Ability to teach independently.
• Ability to enrich student learning and engagement in a variety of hand-building ceramics skills.
• Ability to liaise with other staff regarding shared working spaces.
• Ability to monitor and order necessary materials and equipment in consultation with the AbbSchool Manager.
• Ability to contribute to our thriving co-curricular program and possess a positive attitude with a sense of fun and good humor.
