Junior School Gymnastics Coach – WAG

Abbotsleigh Junior School is offering an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and passionate Gymnastics Coach to work with our WAG squad for competitions.

 

The Role

The successful applicant will be working with gymnasts aged 9-12 in a Junior School environment. Working hours are Saturday 1 – 5 pm, commencing on 22 June 2024 and the successful applicant must be available for the IPSHA competition on 13 October 2024. You will have experience coaching Levels 1-6 and teaching NSW WAG routines on Floor, Beam, Vault, and Bars.

Key responsibilities include:

        Timely set up and pack down of gymnastics equipment

        Teaching skills through suitable progressions and lesson plans

 

Key Qualities:

        Is an inspirational role model

        Is a friendly and open communicator as you will provide students and parents/guardians with positive and practical feedback

        Enthusiasm and a passion for developing skills and confidence in young gymnasts

 

Qualifications & Experience:

        Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced artistic coach

        Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in all aspects of gymnastics

        Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team

        Current First Aid and CPR (desirable)

        Current Working with Children’s Check

        Current Gymnastics Australia Technical Membership

 

Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications.  Payment for coaches is provided fortnightly.
