The Role

Abbotsleigh is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate full-time Economics teacher to join our HSIE Department. The successful candidate will be an educator who is highly motivated to support Abbotsleigh to maintain and develop learning and innovation, ensure continued academic achievement, and inspire, engage, and value every girl. They will also be responsible for the well-being of a small tutor group. This is a great opportunity for graduates or experienced teachers looking for a new challenge.

The Duties

The successful applicant will have proven success in classroom practice, and specialise in teaching Economics and Commerce. A robust knowledge of NSW syllabi, strong intellectual acumen, a fine understanding of 21st-century learning, strong ICT competencies to enhance learning, and excellent collegial and communication skills, are essential for this role. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality instruction in economics to students at Abbotsleigh. They will create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, fostering a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.  They will contribute to the development of departmental programs and communicate with parents/guardians, staff, and girls in a respectful, professional, and constructive way.
