We are seeking a dedicated Learning Enrichment Teacher to join our Abbotsleigh team and enhance the learning experience for all students, particularly those with diverse learning needs. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with classroom teachers to provide tailored support, ensuring that every student receives the assistance they require to thrive academically and personally.

The Duties

  • Assessment and Planning: Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to assess the learning needs of students and develop personalized learning plans that include adjustments for individuals requiring additional support.
  • Direct Instruction: Provide direct support through one-on-one sessions and small group teaching, focusing on areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social integration.
  • Professional Development: Offer professional advice and mentoring to classroom teachers on effective strategies for catering to diverse learning needs and engaging families in the educational process.
  • Monitoring Progress: Regularly evaluate student progress through various assessment methods and provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and staff.
  • Inclusive Environment: Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes participation, respect, and mutual support among all students.
