Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the education sector?  Abbotsleigh is seeking a passionate and dynamic Fundraising Manager to join our Development Office and lead our community engagement and fundraising initiatives.

About the Role:

As our Fundraising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic fundraising plans that inspire our school community and alumnae (old girls). You’ll cultivate meaningful relationships with parents and donors, driving efforts in capital appeals, annual giving, bequests, and major gifts to support the key initiatives of the Abbotsleigh Foundation. Next year, marking our school's 140th birthday, you will have the unique opportunity to bring the entire community together for our annual black-tie gala fundraising event.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Create and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies in collaboration with the Director.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors.
  • Community Engagement: Plan and implement initiatives that keep our school community actively involved.
  • Donor Management: Conduct donor research, manage the donor database, and produce detailed fundraising reports.
  • Event Coordination: Organise and coordinate fundraising events and Foundation functions.
  • Grant Research: Assist in researching and applying for grants from potential funding bodies.
  • Ethical Compliance: Ensure adherence to legislation, ethical standards, and the Christian ethos of the School. 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fundraising Expertise: Proven experience in developing fundraising strategies, particularly in major gift fundraising.
  • Relationship Skills: Strong ability to engage and build connections with potential donors.
  • Event Management: Experience in managing successful gala fundraising events.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding ability to interact with diverse stakeholders in a flexible manner.
  • Time Management: Effective time management skills and the capability to work independently.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with donor management databases and Microsoft Excel.
