We operate 4 separate boarding houses, for girls Years 7 – 12 from metropolitan Sydney, regional NSW, interstate, and international locations.  We offer full and weekly boarding options to our families.  Like our School, our boarding houses are vibrant and welcoming places for our girls to grow and develop into amazing young women of great character.

About the Role:

The primary role of the Boarding Coordinator is to supervise the physical, emotional, and spiritual development of the girls under their care, providing a link between the Boarding School and the Day School. As a Level 3 Coordinator, you are responsible and have a leadership role in managing the boarding program. This can be fulfilling if you enjoy leading a team, making strategic decisions, and implementing improvements.

The role typically involves handling various aspects of boarding life, from logistical challenges to student welfare. If you thrive on variety and problem-solving, this role offers a dynamic and engaging work environment. You will play a key role in shaping the culture and environment of the boarding school. Your efforts will contribute to creating a supportive and enriching atmosphere that enhances students' overall educational experience. You'll work closely with teachers, parents, and other staff members, which can be rewarding if you enjoy building partnerships and ensuring everyone is aligned in supporting students.

Residing onsite, the Boarding Coordinator is rostered for up to 43 hours per week and will be on call for two weekends each term. The role requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends and availability in the event of emergency’s. Beyond the term, the Boarding Coordinator will also be required to attend professional development days as directed by the Head of Boarding.

About you:

  • Ability to guide and inspire a team of staff members, manage student behavior, and make critical decisions
  • Proficiency in clearly and effectively communicating with students, parents, staff, and external parties.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks, manage schedules, and coordinate various aspects of boarding life efficiently
  • Empathy and Sensitivity, understanding and addressing the needs and concerns of students, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
  • Skill in quickly identifying issues, devising solutions, and implementing effective strategies
  • Preparedness to handle emergencies and unexpected situations calmly and effectively.
  • Keen focus on details to ensure that policies are followed, safety protocols are met, and all aspects of boarding life are well-managed
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of students and staff, respecting and integrating different cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
