Robotics Mentor

Welcome to Abbotsleigh, a pre-kindergarten to Year 12 Anglican day and boarding school for girls located in Wahroonga, on Sydney’s North Shore.

‘With education, women can do, or be, anything.’ (Miss Betty Archdale, 6th Headmistress 1958 – 1970)

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, committed mentors who are passionate about robotics and working with young people.  Experience working with school students is highly regarded, as is mentoring and participation within robotics programs. Whilst formal qualifications are not required, the capacity to assist girls of differing abilities to learn robotics, develop their skills and foster a love of this team activity is essential.

Robotics classes run each week during term time in Terms 1-4.

Abbotsleigh's Commitment to Child Protection

Abbotsleigh is a ‘Child Safe Organisation' committed to ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of all children and young people at the School and is dedicated to protecting them from abuse and harm. All children and young people who come to Abbotsleigh have a right to feel safe.

Successful applicants will be subject to employment screening processes with the Office of the Children’s Guardian and must provide a current Working with Children registration number. In addition, teaching staff will be expected to possess current University and NESA certifications.
