Our Junior School Teachers' Assistants assist with the delivery of classroom activities as well as targeted intervention programs designed for identified students. This position requires working collaboratively with teaching staff to reinforce key learning concepts, provide differentiated support and help students build confidence and independence in their learning. In addition to working directly with students, the Junior School Teachers’ Assistant provides administrative support to teaching teams, contributing to the smooth and effective operation of the Junior School.

What You’ll Do
• Delivery of literacy and numeracy support programs,eg MacqLIt, Numicon
• Supporting teachers in the classroom with reading groups, maths challenges, art programs etc
• Preparation of materials and resources to support lesson delivery
• Maintain records of student progress, attendance and specific needs
• Support lead teachers in managing classroom behaviour to create a conducive learning atmosphere
• Provide administrative support to the Junior School teaching teams

What You’ll Bring
Experience working with and caring for young girls
Demonstrated interest in working with students with diverse and additional needs
Experience in the delivery of literacy and numeracy support programs
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
High-level attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of information in documentation
Competence with Microsoft Office
